Hello, and welcome to my web page! My name is Matthew C Mahutga and I am an assistant professor of Sociology and Associate Director of the Institute for Research on the World-System (IROWS) at the University of California, Riverside. I engage in primary research and teaching in the areas of economic sociology, political economy and quantitative/network methodology, with an emphasis on the effects of economic globalization on the formation of production networks, cross-national variation in income inequality, economic growth, labor markets, and the structure of the world-city system.
